On Friday, 23 January 2026, the Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Second Language (MA-TESL) students of the School of Education, Lincoln University College successfully conducted the IELTS Essential Reading Skills Workshop, focusing on strengthening IELTS reading strategies and examination techniques.
The workshop featured distinguished speakers from reputable institutions in Malaysia:

• Dr. Kumutha Raman, Senior Lecturer I, INTI International University, Malaysia
• Ms. Sofea, English Language Lecturer, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia
The session aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of essential IELTS reading skills, including skimming and scanning techniques, navigating complex question types, and engaging in online mock drills and reviews. Through expert-led presentations and practical guidance, participants gained valuable insights to improve their academic reading performance and exam readiness.
