Postgraduate students from the Institute of Management Studies, Noida (India), participated in a week-long Immersion Programme on Smart Global Logistics at Lincoln University College, Malaysia. The programme was inaugurated by the President, Prof. Dr. Amiya Bhaumik, who delivered an inspiring entrepreneurial talk and presented certificates of participation to the students.
The sessions were organized by the Faculty of AI Computing and Multimedia, led by Dr. Midhunchakkaravarthy Janarthanan, Dean of the Faculty. Academic delivery and support were provided by Dr. Vivekanandam, Dr. Dinesh Rajassekharan, Mr. Alzawari, Dr. Munir, and Dr. Divya.
The programme offered hands-on learning in AI applications for logistics, data-driven supply chain strategies, and digital innovation. It also included industrial visits and cultural exposure to give students a holistic experience.
This initiative aligned with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). It aimed to empower students to become globally conscious professionals ready to transform the logistics industry.
