LUC Faculty of Applied Science Students Explored Mushroom Science through Identification and Cooking Activity

On August 16, 2024, students from the Bachelor of Biotechnology (Hons), MSc Biotechnology, and the China Mobility Program participated in an engaging educational and hands-on mushroom identification and cooking activity, organized by the Faculty of Applied Science, Lincoln University College, Malaysia.

The activity was guided by department staff, including Dr. Erlina binti Abdullah (Lecturer-in-Charge), Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Asita Elengoe (Head of the Department), Mrs. Hemapriyaa Vijayan, Dr. Tan Chun Hoe, Dr. Rathimalar Ayakannu, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Idris Adewale Ahmed.

The session aimed to educate students on the identification of various mushroom species, their ecological importance, and culinary applications.
