Lincoln University College (LUC), Malaysia, proudly recognizes the international acclaim received by its esteemed faculty member, Prof. Dr. Krishnajyoti Goswami, Professor of Biochemistry, LUC, for his innovative contributions to medical science, particularly in the domain of lead toxicity and its biological impact on kidney health.
Featured in the July–September 2025 issue of Techagappe, a respected diagnostics and medical science publication, Prof. Dr. Goswami’s life work was spotlighted in a detailed interview highlighting over 35 years of academic and clinical excellence. His research has significantly advanced global understanding of the subtle yet severe health consequences of lead exposure, especially on the renal system, and continues to inform preventive healthcare and public policy.
Prof. Dr. Goswami has authored over 306 peer-reviewed scientific papers and guided more than 140 postgraduate and doctoral students across institutions in India and Malaysia. His meticulous studies on the synergistic protective effects of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) against lead-induced kidney damage have garnered recognition from both national and international scientific bodies.
Among his many achievements, Prof. Dr. Goswami has served as the youngest President of the Association of Clinical Biochemists of India (ACBI) and was the recipient of the APCCB Environmental Science Award (2002) and the IUBMB Young Scientist Award.
