The School of Education organized a meaningful one-day educational trip to Melaka on Wednesday, 18 June 2025. A total of 32 students took part in the trip, comprising both local and international students from Uzbekistan and Sri Lanka.
Throughout the day, students explored several significant historical and cultural landmarks, including:
- Stadthuys Building
- Kota Melaka Heritage Gallery
- A Famosa Fortress
- Jonker Street
- Dataran Pahlawan
- Taming Sari Tower
- Melaka River Cruise
The trip provided valuable exposure to Malaysia’s rich heritage and history, helping students to connect their learning with real-world experiences. It also sparked discussions around cultural preservation, tourism, and the importance of appreciating local and global heritage. The journey back to LUC began at 3:30 PM and the group safely arrived by 5:30 PM. This educational outing created meaningful opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of history, enhance peer relationships, and experience learning beyond the four walls of a classroom. The shared memories and cross-cultural engagement made the trip a memorable highlight of the academic calendar.
