The Pharmacy Students’ Association (PHARSA) of Lincoln University College successfully held its 2025 Annual General Meeting at the School of Pharmacy Conference Hall, marking a day of leadership transition, student empowerment, and community spirit.
The event commenced with an inspiring welcome speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hazrina Hamid, Dean of the School of Pharmacy & TCM, who highlighted the importance of student leadership and the role of PHARSA in fostering professional growth among future pharmacists. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sreemoy Kanti Das, Deputy Dean, followed with words of appreciation for PHARSA’s contributions and praised the personal development and leadership qualities demonstrated by the students over the past year.
Outgoing PHARSA President Rama Zakour delivered a heartfelt farewell address, reflecting on past achievements and the association’s impact on the student body. The committee also presented reports on past events and the treasurer’s financial updates, offering members a transparent view of PHARSA’s activities and management.
Before the election, presidential and committee candidates presented their vision statements and speeches, sharing why they deserved the members’ votes. After a spirited voting session, the new PHARSA 2025–2026 leadership was officially announced:
• President: Iman Zafri Bin Zai Izzuddin Sham
• Vice President: Yoganitha A/P Ponnuthurai
• Secretary: Heashem Al Ansary
• Treasurer: Ciin Khan Dim
The newly appointed President delivered an optimistic speech, setting the tone for PHARSA’s goals in the upcoming term and inspiring members with a renewed sense of unity and purpose.
The event concluded with a get-together and luncheon, allowing students, lecturers, and faculty members to network and strengthen their bonds. It was a memorable day that not only celebrated the past year’s accomplishments but also set the stage for a vibrant and impactful year ahead for PHARSA.
