The 3rd International Conference on Global Education (ICOGE 2025), organized by the School of Education, Lincoln University College (LUC), Malaysia

The 3rd International Conference on Global Education (ICOGE 2025), organized by the School of Education, Lincoln University College (LUC), Malaysia, was successfully held on 13–14 August 2025 at the Mines Resort Hotel, Malaysia. Guided by the inspiring theme “Empowering Learners for the Digital Era,” the conference brought together educators, researchers, and policymakers from around the world to exchange knowledge and insights on sustainable and transformative education.

The conference was officiated by the esteemed presence of Prof. Datuk Dr. Hjh Bibi Florina Abdullah, Pro-Chancellor of LUC, and Prof. Dr. Amiya Bhaumik, Founder and President of LUC. A warm welcome was extended to all distinguished guests, partners, presenters, and participants by Prof. Dr. Lubna Ali Mohammed, Pro Dean of the School of Education and Conference Chair, who also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizing committee for their dedication in making ICOGE 2025 a success.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Prof. Datuk Dr. Hjh Bibi Florina Abdullah and joined by the university’s leadership: Datuk Dr. Mohd Yusoff A. Bakar, Chief Executive Officer; Madam Aslin Hafiza Ali, Chief Operating Officer; Madam Jayaletchumy A. P. Rajaratnam, Prof. Dr. Lubna Ali Mohammed, Conference Chair; and Assistant Prof. Dr. Chandra Mohan, Conference Co-Chair. The symbolic opening featured the touching of a glowing globe and the release of the official opening ceremony video.

Guests were also welcomed with two vibrant cultural performances, reflecting Malaysia’s warmth hospitality.

Prof. Dr. Amiya Bhaumik, Founding President of LUC, delivered an inspiring message highlighting the university’s recent achievements, including its strong standing in the QS rankings. Souvenirs were then presented to VIPs and invited guests, among them Dr. Wenwei, Vice President of Jiangxi University of Technology, China; Prof. Dr. Rasheed Abdulsalam, Dean of the School of Dentistry, LUC; Dr. Ayman Aied Mohammed Mamdouh, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Al-Madinah University; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Al-Shagga, Director of Education and Student Experience, School of Pharmacy, University of Nottingham Malaysia.

The first day featured two keynote addresses delivered by Assoc. Prof. Kurbanbaev Djavod Aminbaevich, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Karakalpak State University, and Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Noraini binti Idris, President, and Founder of the National STEM Association Malaysia. Their thought-provoking talks set the tone for the conference’s rich intellectual exchange. The remainder of the first day and the second day were dedicated to academic paper presentations and professional discussions through parallel technical sessions. These sessions highlighted diverse research in global education and witnessed active participation from both local and international delegates, with a total of 127 presenters and participants.

Day two featured plenary sessions led by distinguished speakers including Dr. Azadeh Amoozegar from INTI International University and Colleges, and Prof. Dr. Midhun Chakkaravarthy, Dean of the School of AI and Computing, LUC. These sessions, chaired by respected academicians, encouraged interactive dialogue through engaging Q&A segments.

The closing ceremony took place on the afternoon of 14 August 2025. Prof. Datin Dr. Hafizah Che Hassan, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of LUC, delivered the closing address, followed by remarks from Assistant Prof. Dr. Chandra Mohan, Conference Co-Chair. It is worth mentioning that a pre-conference workshop held on 12 August 2025, entitled “AI in Action: Designing Engaging Classrooms,” conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Al-Shagga, attracted more than 30 participants from across the globe and generated strong enthusiasm around the conference theme.

To conclude the event, a post-conference tour was organized on 15 August, taking participants to two notable Malaysian attractions: Batu Caves and Genting Highlands.

Indeed, ICOGE 2025 was marked by high-level engagement, meaningful dialogue, and the strengthening of global educational collaborations. The goals of empowering education for a sustainable future were successfully addressed through shared research, innovative proposals, and interdisciplinary exchanges. The event not only created new avenues for cooperation but also reaffirmed the commitment of Lincoln University College to shaping transformative education in the digital era.
