Workshop on Academic Writing Skills for Research Proposals by Dr Nosheen Jaafar

On 5th February 2025, the School of Education at Lincoln University College hosted an enriching online workshop titled “Academic Writing Skills for Research Proposals” as part of the ICOGE 2025 conference series. The session was conducted by Dr. Nosheen Jaffar, an expert in academic and research writing, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm

The workshop focused on strengthening participants’ skills in structuring and writing effective research proposals. Dr. Nosheen provided a comprehensive overview of the essential components of a strong research proposal, including:

  • Formulating clear and focused research questions,
  • Crafting impactful problem statements and literature reviews,
  • Aligning methodology with research objectives,
  • Ensuring academic tone, coherence, and proper citation styles.

Throughout the session, participants engaged actively through Q&A sessions and collaborative discussions, enhancing their understanding of proposal development.
