On 12 August 2026, our TESL students presented Romeo and Juliet to a full auditorium — students from across the School of Education and other faculties, joined by guests from outside the university.
The production showed far more than acting. Through English dialogue, characterisation, stage performance and teamwork, our students built confidence, communication, creativity and collaboration. Every rehearsal was a lesson, and every line was practice.
We were honoured by the presence of Dato’ Bibi Florina, Chancellor; Datin Hafizah, Deputy Vice-Chancellor; Puan Aslin, Bursar; Mdm Jayam; and our Dean, Dr Lubna.
Special appreciation goes to Assistant Professor Antony Sheela Anmary, who directed and mentored the students from the first read-through to the final bow.
The applause has ended. The confidence, the learning and the memories remain.
The stage was the setting — but learning was the real performance.
