Lincoln University College participated in the 29th Joint Malaysia–Singapore Nursing Conference 2026, held from 12 to 14 August 2026 at Hotel Berjaya Times Square, Kuala Lumpur, bringing together nursing and healthcare professionals, academic institutions and international delegates. The conference was organised by the Nursing Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia, in collaboration with Kelab Sukan dan Kebajikan Bahagian Kejururawatan.

Representing Lincoln

Lincoln University College participated in the conference as an exhibitor, providing an opportunity to engage directly with nursing professionals and healthcare stakeholders while presenting the University’s academic and innovation-related work.

The conference organisers highlighted the exhibition as a platform for organisations to showcase their products, services and innovations while engaging with key stakeholders across the healthcare sector.

For Lincoln, the exhibition also provided an opportunity to connect the University’s academic environment with the wider professional nursing community.

A Keynote Contribution from Lincoln’s Nursing Leadership

A significant part of Lincoln University’s presence at the conference was the participation of Prof. Datuk Dr. Hjh. Bibi Florina Abdullah, Pro-Chancellor of Lincoln University College, who delivered a keynote address during the main nursing conference.

Her participation brought an experienced nursing leadership perspective to the conference programme and further reflected Lincoln University College’s continued engagement with the nursing profession.

Prof. Datuk Dr. Hjh. Bibi Florina Abdullah is recognised by Lincoln University College as its Pro-Chancellor and has a long-standing background in Malaysian nursing leadership.

School of Health & Applied Science Contributes to the Programme

The School of Health & Applied Science also contributed to the conference through the participation of Dr. Smitha Madhavan, adding an academic perspective to the professional discussions surrounding nursing and healthcare.

The School’s participation reflects its multidisciplinary approach to health education, bringing together nursing and other health-related disciplines within the wider academic environment of Lincoln University College.

Engaging with Healthcare Leadership

During the conference, Dato’ Dr. Mohd Azman bin Yacob, Chief Guest and Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Health Malaysia, visited the Lincoln University College exhibition booth.

The visit provided an opportunity to introduce the University’s presented innovations and engage with senior healthcare leadership in a professional conference setting.

Connecting Education, Innovation and Professional Practice

The 29th Joint Malaysia–Singapore Nursing Conference provided Lincoln University College with an opportunity to participate across several dimensions — exhibition, professional engagement and academic contribution.

From the exhibition booth to the conference stage, Lincoln’s participation demonstrated the importance of connecting higher education with the professional communities it serves.

For the School of Health & Applied Science, such platforms provide opportunities for staff and students to engage with current professional conversations, exchange perspectives and strengthen connections across the healthcare sector.
