The School of Education, Lincoln University College, Malaysia, concluded its three-day programme, held from 7–9 October 2026, bringing together academics from Urgench State University, Bukhara State University, and Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute, Uzbekistan, alongside LUC lecturers and students.
Under the theme “Knowledge Beyond Borders, People for a Better Tomorrow,” the programme combined professional development, research exchange, and partnership building.
Day 1 featured a workshop on Innovative Teaching & Learning Strategies for 21st-Century Higher Education, covering student-centred teaching, active learning, technology-enhanced teaching, assessment, feedback, and constructive alignment. A collaborative Lesson Design Studio enabled participants to apply these approaches to lesson planning.
The International Symposium on Emerging Trends in Linguistics and English Language Studies on Day 2 explored digital communication, code-switching, metacognition, student autonomy, AI-assisted language learning, English writing and pronunciation, medical terminology, and cognitive development. Research presentations and a panel discussion encouraged dialogue among visiting academics, LUC lecturers, and students.
The final day focused on opportunities for joint research, publications, co-authorship, and academic exchange. The programme concluded with an MoU signing between Lincoln University College and Bukhara State University, followed by the closing ceremony and certificate presentation, recognising participants’ engagement and strengthening ties for future cooperation.
The School of Education thanks the visiting delegation, facilitators, lecturers, students, and organising team for their contributions. This initiative supports SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
