Lincoln University College proudly participated in the World of Words – Kuala Lumpur (WoW-KL) 2025, a prestigious literary festival held from 17–19 September at Sasana Kijang, Bank Negara Malaysia. Themed “Reviving Malaysia’s Reading Culture, One Story at a Time,” the event united budding ,veteran and passionate authors, educators, students, of all ages and cultural organizations in kick starting a shared mission to strengthen Malaysia’s reading culture. Organised in proud partnership with Bank Negara Malaysia, the National Library of Malaysia, the British Council, and Google, WoW-KL aims to reignite Malaysia’s literary spirit and establish a long-term platform for creative engagement and dialogue.
On the second day, 18 students from the School of Education represented Lincoln University College, joining over 170 peers from leading institutions including Open University Malaysia, Tunku Jaafar College, Asia Pacific University, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, and the University of Wollongong (Malaysia Campus).
Our students showcased their skills in Parts of Speech, Critical Thinking, and Problem-Solving competitions while also engaging in thought-provoking forums such as “How to Teach Literature in a Fun Way” and “Educating the Nation.” Their insightful questions and active participation were commended by panelists and participants alike.
The highlight of WoW-KL 2025 was the competitive segment, where out of 170 participants, only 10 were selected as finalists — with six proudly representing Lincoln University College. This outstanding 60% share of the finalists reflects both the calibre of our students and the strength of our academic programs.
