OPENING CEREMONY | INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC EXCHANGE & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

School of Education, Lincoln University College  |  7 October 2026

On 7 October 2026, the School of Education, Lincoln University College, Malaysia, held the opening ceremony of the International Academic Exchange & Professional Development Programme, welcoming visiting academics from Uzbekistan. The ceremony brought together Prof. Datuk Dr. Hjh Bibi Florina, Pro Chancellor, Dato’ (Amb) Dr. Mohd Yusoff Bin A. Bakar, Chief Executive Officer, Lincoln University College, Dean Prof. Dr. Lubna Ali Mohammed, School Head of Departments and lecturers, and students.

The three-day programme combined a workshop on Innovative Teaching & Learning Strategies for 21st-Century Higher Education with an international symposium on Emerging Trends in Linguistics and English Language Studies. Its objectives were to strengthen teaching practices, exchange research perspectives, and explore opportunities for joint publications, academic mobility, and long-term institutional collaboration.

The programme provided an important opportunity to connect academic knowledge with teaching practice and encourage dialogue across educational and cultural contexts. For lecturers, it offered professional learning and research networking opportunities; for students, it provided exposure to international scholarship and wider perspectives on education and language studies.

Through this initiative, the School of Education reaffirmed its commitment to SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, promoting shared learning and sustainable academic partnerships between Malaysia and Uzbekistan.
