Day 5 of the face-to-face TESOL Professional Training Programme featured a session on *Language Assessment, delivered by **Mr. Toby Teh*.
Participants explored the assessment of essential language competencies and learning outcomes, accommodations for students with special educational needs, and the implications of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) for assessment validity, academic integrity, and critical thinking.
The session also examined inclusive assessment through the *Curb-Cut Effect*, showing how adjustments for learners requiring additional support can benefit everyone. Clear instructions and accessible visual aids were highlighted as practical ways to improve understanding and participation.
