One Pulse. One Community.
The School of Health & Applied Science (SHAS), Lincoln University College, officially established NADI Club on 18 August 2026, introducing a multidisciplinary student platform designed to bring students from across the School together as one connected community.
The establishment of NADI Club marks a new chapter in student engagement within the School, creating a shared platform for students from different academic disciplines to connect, collaborate and participate in activities beyond their individual programmes.
A Club Built Around One Shared Identity
The name NADI, meaning pulse, represents the connection and shared energy that brings students together.
With representation across 11 disciplines, NADI Club provides a common identity for students across the School of Health & Applied Science, regardless of their individual area of study.
Its official tagline captures the purpose of the club:
One Pulse. One Community.
The concept reflects the School’s multidisciplinary environment, where different fields of health and applied science come together within one academic community.
An Inauguration Supported by University and School Leadership
The NADI Club inauguration brought together university leadership, academic leaders and staff of the School of Health & Applied Science.
The occasion was attended by Prof. Dr. Amiya, Prof. Datuk Dr. Hjh. Bibi Florina Abdullah, Datin Hafiza, Dr. Smitha Madhavan, Dean of the School of Health & Applied Science, and Dr. Jayasree, Deputy Dean of the School of Health & Applied Science, together with academic and administrative staff of the School.
Their presence highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for students to participate, take leadership roles and build stronger connections across the School.
Bringing Students Beyond Their Disciplines
NADI Club is designed to provide students with opportunities to engage with peers beyond their own academic programmes.
Within a School comprising multiple health and applied science disciplines, students may have different areas of academic focus, professional interests and learning experiences. NADI Club creates a shared space where these different communities can come together.
Through student activities, collaborative initiatives and community engagement, the club provides a platform for students to develop connections while experiencing university life beyond the classroom.
11 Disciplines. One Student Community.
One of the defining features of NADI Club is its multidisciplinary identity.
Rather than operating around a single programme or discipline, the club brings students together under one School-wide student platform.
This creates opportunities for students to meet people from different academic backgrounds, exchange ideas and participate in activities as members of one wider community.
11 Disciplines. One Shared Purpose.
The club’s multidisciplinary structure also reflects the nature of the School of Health & Applied Science, where different areas of study contribute to the broader field of health, science and applied practice.
Developing Student Leadership
NADI Club also provides a foundation for greater student involvement and leadership within the School.
Through future activities and initiatives, students can take an active role in planning, organising and contributing to the wider student community.
The establishment of the club therefore represents more than the creation of another student organisation. It provides a platform through which students can participate in shaping their own university experience and contribute to the community around them.
Building a Stronger School Community
The establishment of NADI Club reflects the School of Health & Applied Science’s continued focus on creating a connected and engaged student environment.
By bringing students together across disciplines, the club creates opportunities for interaction, collaboration and community participation while complementing students’ academic experiences.
As NADI Club develops, it will provide a platform for future student-led activities and initiatives that bring together the diverse student community within the School.
